Before vacation week, Grade 5 students had the exciting opportunity to participate in a free energy presentation from Eversource. Their Energy Academy: The Power Squad program brought an engaging theatrical performance to our school, blending education and entertainment to teach important lessons about energy. The performance kept students laughing while reinforcing valuable lessons about energy conservation.

We are excited to invite all students to participate in the Town of Berkley's Memorial Day Essay Contest: "What Memorial Day Means to Me."
Essays should be one page, double-spaced, 12-point font, and emailed to or shared with memorialdayessay@berkleypublicschools.org by May 9. Winners will be announced on May 23, and the winning essay will be read during the Memorial Day Ceremony.
All essay participants are encouraged to walk in the Memorial Day Parade, and we would love to see a sea of red, white, and blue! We also encourage families and all spectators to wear patriotic colors.
There will also be a special section in the parade lineup for kids who want to ride their bikes - decorate them in red, white, and blue to show your spirit.
Let's honor this day together as a community.
