SUN Bucks 2026

The 2026 application for SUN Bucks (formerly Summer EBT) is now open.

SUN Bucks is a federal food benefit program that provides a $120 summer benefit per eligible school-aged child to help families purchase groceries during the summer months.

Students are automatically eligible if they:

  • Qualify for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) during the 2025–2026 school year (via application or direct certification), or

  • Are identified as homeless, migrant, runaway, or participate in Head Start

Families who are not automatically eligible but may qualify based on income are encouraged to apply.

The program is administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) in partnership with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), with support from schools.
