Dear Parents/Guardians,
Planning for the 2020/21 school year is underway, and as you can imagine, is especially challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every school district in the Commonwealth has been asked to prepare for three scenarios that could take place during the next school year. These are:
- A full return to school with precautions.
- A partial return to school with a “hybrid model” in which students would be in school part time and engaged in remote learning from home part time.
- Full remote learning for given periods of time.
The decisions about which model is used will be dependent on what is happening at any given time with the Coronavirus. Therefore, it is possible that we will be asked to switch from one model to another during the school year.
In order to assist in planning, we are requesting that each family participate in the survey that was e/mailed to you. If you did not receive it, please contact us. While the information you provide on this survey is not binding, it is highly important that we begin to gather specific information about the plans each family has for the fall so that we can prepare appropriately.
We will share information about specific details related to the 2020/21 school year as the summer progresses. Until then, we appreciate your participation in this survey; please respond by July 15.
