BERKLEY—In accordance with Massachusetts Department of Education Regulations 603CMR23.06, temporary records may be destroyed after seven years. The Berkley Public Schools Special Education Department will comply with these regulations.

The special education files may contain information that is important for particular individuals in the future.  Therefore, individuals may wish to examine and receive any or all of the records before destruction.  Those affected received special education services in Berkley schools and graduated from the 8th grade prior to 2017.

Former students who wish to review their material can contact the Special Education Office at (508) 822-5251, ext. 324, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. until September 2, 2024. Any records left in the Special Education Office after September 2, 2024, will be destroyed.
